London-based institute invites nominations for media workshop on Strategic issues
A London-Based institute working to promote strategic stability in South Asia is organising a one day workshop for media professionals in Islamabad. The aim of the workshop is to increase journalists’ understanding of the prevailing strategic discourse in South Asia.
The workshop will be held on January 19, 2007 (Friday). Resource persons are drawn both from the academia and media. Certificates will also be awarded to the participants. Those media practitioners (print and electronic media) who are interested in attending the workshop are invited to apply to the email: malykhan@gmail.com or info@sassu.org.uk.
South Asia Strategic Stability Institute (SASSI) is an independent autonomous think tank that aims to promote stability through building capacity of the South Asian professionals who contribute positively to the strategic debate in the region. SASSI organises national, international conferences, workshops, seminars as well as conducts studies through process of commissioned research and by availing the expertise through fellowships that are extended to both academia and journalists working on South Asian affairs.
