Sassu Senior Research Fellow: Deba R. Mohanty Deba R. Mohanty is an Associate Fellow at the Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (IDSA), a premier research institute based in New Delhi, India. His specialisations include arms trade, arms industry, military modernisation, higher defence management, national security and South Asia. During his professional research career in strategic studies for over a decade, he has been a Visiting Fellow at the Department of War Studies, King's College London (KCL, 1995 - 96), a Ford Fellow at the Bonn International Center for Conversion (BICC), Bonn, Germany (2002 - 03), and currently a Visiting Senior Fellow at the South Asia Strategic Stability Unit, Department of Peace Studies, University of Bradford. He has published extensively in India and abroad. His research articles have found places in publications like Strategic Analysis, Bulletin of Arms Control, Air Power Journal, and Journal of Peace Studies. His latest monograph on 'Changing Times: India's Defence Industry in the 21st Century' was published by BICC in July 2004. Some of his latest and forthcoming chapters include 'Future of Indian Defence Industry', in N. S. Sisodia and C. Uday Bhaskar (eds.)
